Care Improvement Plus - Commissions News
Please note that the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) maximum compensation rates increased for 2013. Additionally, the Care Improvement Plus Medicare Advantage plan (MA-PD) commission has been raised for 2013 to be commensurate with Care Improvement Plus Special Needs Plans (SNPs) and UnitedHealthcare Medicare Advantage as a whole. Please review your UnitedHealthcare Insurance Company Agent or Agency Agreement, and 2013 Medicare Advantage (MA) and Prescription Drug Plan (PDP) commission schedule for the commission rates that will be paid for sales of plans with 2013 effective dates.
Commission Statements
Beginning with 2013 sales, commission processing is changing. Please make note of the following:
- Care Improvement Plus will continue to calculate the commissions for 2013 effective business; however the payment will be included in your UHC commission check or EFT deposit.
- Your UHC commission statement will include a single entry under the Manual Adjustment section which will indicate the net payment associated with the Care Improvement Plus business.
- The transaction level detail will continue to be available on the Care Improvement Plus portal at https://xl.acteksoft.com/ACom3XL/
Renewal Payments for Care Improvement Plus Sales Prior to 2013 Plan Year
Please keep in mind, if you do not contract and certify through UnitedHealthcare prior to December 31, 2012, you will not receive renewal payments for Care Improvement Plus enrollment applications written prior to 2013 plan year.
