UnitedHealthcare Introduces HouseCalls
Great News! UnitedHealthcare now offers HouseCalls to qualified members of select Medicare Advantage Plans. At UnitedHealthcare, our mission is to help members live healthier lives, which includes giving them access to programs and services that support maintaining and improving their overall health and well-being. That is why UnitedHealthcare is offering an in-home health and wellness program called HouseCalls.
Members may be offered a HouseCalls visit if they are enrolled in a Medicare Advantage plan that offers the HouseCalls program. HouseCalls supports the member’s Primary Care Physician (PCP) care through an in-home visit with a licensed health care practitioner. This knowledgeable health care practitioner will review the member’s health history and medications, and educate them on preventive measures and health-related issues. Plus, with advanced technology, additional needs in their care can be identified and reported to their PCP. During the HouseCalls visit, members also have time to ask questions and review any health concerns.
- There are no additional costs for a HouseCalls visit.
- HouseCalls is for a variety of health types, whether a member has a chronic condition or is healthy – many members can benefit from a HouseCalls visit. Refer to the attached HouseCalls frequently asked questions (FAQ) for applicable UnitedHealthcare Medicare Advantage plans.
- Specially trained health care practitioners will come to the member’s home at a time and date that is convenient for them.

Where can you learn more about the HouseCalls program?
Learn more about the HouseCalls Program and key points to share with consumers or members by taking the HouseCalls training course now available on the Distribution Portal under the Learning Center tab. Go to www.unitedhealthproducers.com and enter your username (agent id) and password. Click on Go. Once you are logged into the Distribution Portal, click on the Learning Center button to access your courses and certificates. The “HouseCalls for Medicare Advantage Plans” course is located under the Electives Tab.
