Medico is making it easier than ever to write one of the leading Short Term Care Products in the country.  Below you will find the Remote Sales Process (RSP) Checklist for both the Medicare Supplement & Short Term Care products.  These outlines show agents exactly what the requirements are, and how they must to completed to use this fantastic sales method.

Please Note — Only Underwritten Medicare Supplement applications can be submitted through RSP.  Open Enrollment & Guaranteed Issue applications must use the traditional sales process.

Medico has announced that they are entering into a merger with American Enterprises. Although this deal has just been announced, Medico has released information pertaining to the agreement. You can follow this link to read full details.

In an effort to retain their single digit rate increases, Medico will begin using a new application in all states where they offer their Medicare Supplement Product. This will go into effect on February 1, 2012 and as of that date they will no longer except the old Medicare Supplement Application. All agents are asked to destroy all old applications and brochures as of this date.

Medico has determined that they will no longer accept some risks that they have accepted in the past. This will not significantly change the application and should help them minimize future rate increases.

Medico is excited to be able a to offer new sales option for their Medicare Supplement product.  The Remote Sales Process (RSP) has been developed for underwritten Medicare Supplement insurance applications.  Following a few simple steps, RSP allows for the  applicant’s voice signature to be recorded during the Personal Heath Interview (PHI) conducted by Elite Sales Processing (ESP), eliminating the need for a “wet signature” on a paper application.  RSP is a  great new way to sell Medico’s underwritten Medicare Supplement product over the telephone, saving travel time and money.

Medico will be implementing a rate increase on the Modernized Medicare Supplement  Policy Series A20 in Pennsylvania.  This increase will be implemented with renewal and new issues effective October 1, 2011 and and after.  The premium increase is due to increased medical costs, provider charges and the increase in Part A and Part B deductibles.  Even with this increase, Medico’s new rates are still some of the best available in the state!
